Shout At The Devil! [Halloween Party] Band members and friends invited

Zack had decided that he wanted to do something for Halloween now that he'd gotten his new costume and being a Spider-Man fan he'd gone for a Spider-Punk costume straight from his comics. He'd gotten it at a local comic store down on the Strip and couldn't wait to show Damien because he knew the Dog didn't have comics or anything fun back in Hunger City. Zack now pleased that he'd arranged a Halloween Party for the band members, their friends and family to attend inside the communal area of the apartments. It was the biggest space and there was a bar all stocked up with spooky drinks, alcoholic and non-alcoholic alike.

It would be a blast!

There were even spooky snacks with crisps and chips shaped like bats, ghosts and pumpkins. There were even actual pumpkins on a table for those who wished to carve a pumpkin alone or with friends. Zack had tried to make it accessible for all, those who wished to party and get drunk and those who wanted to do non-boozy activities too.

As for costumes---they were optional but preferred.

"Ok, I think that's it. Everyone should be arriving soon."

Zack looking around the room and hoping everyone would like what he had set-up with help from some of the others of course.

Zack wasn't going to get drunk of course, but did want to mingle with the others and see what costume creations the band members had come up with. He'd just walk around as Spider-Punk looking cool with his web shooters that Tony Stark had helped modify.

"You do land on your feet and are more like Spider-Man than me."

The drummer had to admit that because Damien was so nimble and agile. That part he was slightly envious of.

"I wonder who will come tonight."

"I think you look really good with your bolts in the neck. Oh--Godzilla? I could be!"

The young Swede never thought about that but now that Minoru had put that thought into his mind Erik couldn't help but nod and wave his arms about. Perhaps Robert would think his costume was goofy but cute?

"Maybe I could scare the tarts with my costume tonight. Gilly will probably scream and try to slap me."

Erik giggled at that.

Balthazar coming as....well, himself. Did he also invite himself? Yes, he did.

Oh, come now! How could an angel miss something as extravagant as a Halloween party in Ziggy's universe no less. Balthazar now sporting a rather lavish crimson silk suit with matching pants and shiny black shoes. It was just a little number he carried off while visiting worlds and being in the company of rock stars called for a little glam.

"Oh, how wonderful! I do love a little trick or treat now and then."

Balthazar beaming as he walked into the communal area spotting a few of the rock stars dressed up and drinking. Coming from the Nexus, Balthazar had heard Jack and some of the Dogs were around.

"I do love all the outfits, darlings. Most appropriate. Perhaps, I should have come as a stripper instead. Am I too overdressed?"

The angel musing to himself as he waltzed over towards the bar, hoping to catch the attention of whoever was around.

"What I said? But---I said would you like to suck me or something along those lines. I meant it as a fucking joke and didn't think Davy would react so strongly. I'd never hurt him and he knows that."

The Swede was shaking his head, lost almost, but then focused on Jerry when he heard his words. Last year? With Davy and that abusive bastard?

"You're talking about when Davy got attacked by some cowardly fuck?"

Mick instantly went a light shade of pink across his cheeks at Torden being cheeky and flirting slightly because he knew both he and Ulfen were more open about sex than the Brits.

"Thanks, mate. Does Ulfen stare at my ass or something? He landed on my lap at our first meeting."

Mick laughed and shook his head, loving the attention, knowing it was all playful. The guitarist now getting both of them a jug of apple cider to share, knowing that all the Danes had a sweet tooth.

"You know back in my country apple cider means alcoholic cider. I suppose the non-alcoholic equivalent of this here would be cloudy apple juice. It's funny how the same thing means different to other cultures.

Jerry usually smiled easily even when things were going crazy but right now he couldn't smile.

"I'm sure he knows you won't hurt him. It was probably a gut reaction."

Jerry knew Davy trusted Sven but trust didn't get rid of trauma. "Yes. He was attacked in my bar but..." Jerry fell silent because he knew Sven was about to get upset. Jerry still felt upset about it and it wasn't even his partner. "That's how he was suffocated and the guy fucked up his throat. He forced his cock into Davy's mouth." There wasn't any delicate way to talk about this and Jerry wished there was some way to say it so it would be easier on Sven.

"You made it? That's some talent there."

Gunnar's eyes now roaming over the man's costume, seeing just how well made it was compared to his relatively cheaply bought store one. Not everyone could be good at sewing though and Gunnar definitely wasn't.

"I am Gunnar Nilsson. Joakim's younger brother and singer for my band Lejonen. The Lions."

The big Swede now holding out a hand to the man.

Sven tried to remain calm and focused as he listened to what Jerry was about to say regarding Davy and his past. But, fuck---it was hard. He could already feel the anger and unease build inside his stomach like bile making him feel sick.

"No. Fuck no. That evil piece of shit. Den där jävla skiten!"

The Swede got up and wanted to throw something in anger because he was raging. Fuck that---that monster! How dare he attack and abuse poor Davy like that, forcing himself on the poor boy. It was a horrific act.

"I---I need a fucking drink."

Sven went up to the bar and near smashed a glass on the floor because his hands were shaking in pure anger.

"Oh yeah I think you're right."

Niko was in a good mood and wanted to get trashed at this party because it was Halloween and being at a rock star party, this made the boy want to get drunk. Where was Jake? The vampire man had to be around somewhere.

"Nice to meet you, Ansgar Soeren. Mikkel is the one they call---brat?"

He'd heard someone say that.

Jerry wouldn't dream of telling the man to calm down. Jerry did follow him to the bar, more to protect others than Sven.

"Maybe we should go for a walk?" Jerry offered because it was clear Sven needed time to cool off. Jerry hadn't even mentioned what he heard from Joey recently bur now might not be the time.

Ansgar took his juice with a smile. He was looking forward to something that wasn't booze, at least for now.

"That's my brother. Dirty daddy's little brat." Ansgar snorted a laugh and sipped his cider. "Which band are you with?"

They sounded like stage names because they were, and not just for the sake of a costume party. “It’s actually the name I perform under.”

Of course, speaking of names, there were a lot of them to keep straight.

“Someone was crazy enough to climb with him…” Jay tried to remember the article. “Not Spiderman, but a spider fan, or something like that.”

“Spider fan?” Dee snickered.

“Looks like Godzilla to me!” Minoru laughed. “Though, I think the only way you’re probably gonna scare anyone is if you sneak up behind them when they aren’t looking.”

Sorry, Erik. Your costume looks too cute to really be all that scary.

"It's my job." Jake smiled. "I work on horror movie sets."

"Jake Harper." He nodded. "I've heard about your brother. He's trying to get into my aunt's pants."

Jake wasn't upset over it like Davy. He thought Jan deserved to have some fun with a person again after the asshole she had been married to.

Jack grinned slightly because Ziggy would be pleased that their existence confused someone so much. "Ziggy prefers he but feminine identifiers; lady, sister."

Jack thought it was worth explaining even if Ziggy would do the same.

"I don't see many good short, red wigs."

“Oh.” Jay nodded. “I suppose that makes sen…”

You could see the wheels turning, and the moment they ground to a sudden halt.

“Hold on, you said Ziggy prefers. The actual Ziggy Stardust?”

Even Dee blinked. That wasn’t a costume? That was actual family resemblance?

“…THE Ziggy Stardust… is coming to this party?”

"This is his tour." Jack isn't quite as used to this reaction outside of a venue and all the fans. "I'm not sure if he's performing tonight or not."

Of course, even if he was this was where he slept. Eventually Ziggy would have to come back. "I think he owns this building."

Jack had made that assumption and never cared enough to ask and get clarity.

When Jake told them about the party, Dee and Jay largely assumed the guests would be other local musicians. It would be a good chance to network and have fun at the same time - dressed in their stage personas, no less.

“Ziggy Stardust’s… tour? He owns this building?” Dee stuttered, some of this finally clicking.

Of the band names he’d heard so far, the vast majority of them were opening acts on the Ziggy Stardust festival. But he hadn’t connected the dots until now. If he was lucky, he might actually get to hand a copy of his demo directly to one of the biggest stars in the music business today.

There were a lot of local or newer bands around but there were some more famous people. Jack didn't know much outside of Ziggy and Tom's fame. In all fairness this wasn't his world.

"Tom bought it when the tour got grounded." Jack mentioned but left out the part about that all being due to Rekker and his trial.

Dee looked up at Jay, who was still standing behind him in shocked silence.

“The Tom that Syn suggested we look for… was that Tom Jones? Ziggy Stardust’s manager?”

“And father.” Jay corrected. “His manager is his father. And maybe it actually was?”

Of course, if Ziggy’s manager was his father, and this was Ziggy’s brother, then it was technically his father too.

“…Is he here? …at the party too?”

Jack is trying to piece together what they were talking about but had a good idea.

"Tom is never far away." Jack asserted as he started to head for the elevators. "He and Robert are usually the ones that keep parties like this from getting out of hand."

"You look better in the costume." Damien encouraged. He appreciated Zack's creativity even if he often had no idea what character Zack was talking about.

"I heard Davy mention that there would be more musicians from LA." Damien wasn't sure who and the musician part was a bit of an assumption.

Torden was always playful. While his flirting was always honest, it wasn't always serious.

"I'm sure he does." Torden knew his partner looked at others and didn't mind. "He likes muscular men."

Torden knew Ulfen would never do anything to jeopardize Mick's relationship though he did imagine the occasional teasing flirtation would come up between the two.

"We have both." Torden explained. "Most of it is alcoholic but we also have Somersby... sparkling cider." Torden explained. Somersby was a brand name that some used for the non-alcoholic sparkling cider. "There might be Somersby here. I've seen it in at least one store around here."

If the Danes, likely Ansgar and Mikkel, had been involved in the runs to the liquor store then he was certain there would be some around.

At this point, Dee was beginning to assume all the various names were interconnected, and that this Robert was probably the boyfriend of the young man he met at Denny’s a few weeks back.

He was also trying his hardest not to look starstruck, or get his hopes up too high. Tom probably received hundreds of demos from people looking to make it in the industry. Ziggy might not even have time to talk to ordinary strangers like them. Who knew?

Fortunately, Jay was already following Jack to the elevator.

“We were warned that some of the people here get a little rowdy.” Jay put it mildly. ”They won’t have to worry about us adding too much to that.”

Jay had largely grown out of that wild party phase by the time he entered nursing school. Dee certainly had it in him, Jay had found out as they got to know each other better, but it was tempered by his condition and how said condition affected his priorities.

Of course, there was no dissuading Isamu from a discussion about books, although Minoru had tried. (The night was young, though. He could catch up with Jake later.)

“In part, yes. However, when Adam requested of God to have a companion in the biblical story, the request was granted. When the monster appealed to Victor, the request was not granted.” Isamu noted. “Man is not isolated in the same fashion. In comparison to God, Victor Frankenstein did not go far enough.”
