Shout At The Devil! [Halloween Party] Band members and friends invited

Zack had decided that he wanted to do something for Halloween now that he'd gotten his new costume and being a Spider-Man fan he'd gone for a Spider-Punk costume straight from his comics. He'd gotten it at a local comic store down on the Strip and couldn't wait to show Damien because he knew the Dog didn't have comics or anything fun back in Hunger City. Zack now pleased that he'd arranged a Halloween Party for the band members, their friends and family to attend inside the communal area of the apartments. It was the biggest space and there was a bar all stocked up with spooky drinks, alcoholic and non-alcoholic alike.

It would be a blast!

There were even spooky snacks with crisps and chips shaped like bats, ghosts and pumpkins. There were even actual pumpkins on a table for those who wished to carve a pumpkin alone or with friends. Zack had tried to make it accessible for all, those who wished to party and get drunk and those who wanted to do non-boozy activities too.

As for costumes---they were optional but preferred.

"Ok, I think that's it. Everyone should be arriving soon."

Zack looking around the room and hoping everyone would like what he had set-up with help from some of the others of course.

"I'm sure Davy knows you didn't mean to upset him." Jerry tries to smooth things out but knows he might not be able to. "You're a guy. It's natural to want one but..."

Jerry didn't finish that sentence because it would just make the anger worse.

"Then you're in good company." Jerry felt for Sven but the way he was behaving was getting on the American's nerves. "Davy's done that for those other boys for years now. You know, Davy's the one who was there when Sam's boyfriend committed suicide and his parents dumped him on some back road? He's been the one there to keep the predators off Syn and my brother." Jerry stared at the Swede. "Maybe Davy needs to think about himself for once, too."

Jerry stood up and tried to keep from getting annoyed since he knew this is all Sven's anger and whatever other emotions he's wrestling with. Jerry kicked at the dirt and stones by the curb of the car lot. "Davy's had amnesia around the events for a long time. I don't even know how much he remembers to tell you."

That was an honest thing about the situation. Jerry wondered if Davy's reluctance was because he didn't remember, he couldn't answer any questions Sven might ask.

Sven knew there wasn't any point getting angry and arguing with Jerry because it couldn't be easy for him or any of the others. Fuck it all. The Swede felt like kicking stones at the side of the car lot but didn't. He just wanted Davy to be ok. That was all that mattered right now. The safety and well-being of Davy.

"I will fight to protect him. Davy needs us all to be there for him."

The Swede knew this and couldn't even imagine what the poor boy was going through right now. It must be hell getting his memory back and re-living the hellish time of being choked out and dying.

"You did well to tell me all this and I did ask for it. It couldn't be easy on you, Jerry. I'm grateful for your honesty."

Sven knew he'd not be able to sleep tonight, not with all the emotion and Jerry's words going around in his head.

"I think everyone knows that you will." Jerry agreed. "I think... Davy needs space to breathe. I can't imagine the fucking balls it takes to go to someone and say you want help to remember the worst thing that ever happened to you."

That was honest and Jerry felt it. He couldn't say he would want to remember. Ignorance might be a blessing.

"I wish I would have seen it sooner." Jerry admitted because the guilt was eating him. "Looking back I could see the shit building and all I did was tell Jake he was being selfish and jealous of Davy's time. I know he's still pissed at me for treating him like that."

Jerry fucked up for his own part, or he felt like it with hindsight. "I don't know how Jake knew but he saw right through that guy." Jerry wanted to clear the air and he felt like leaving these things unspoken between him and Sven would leave a weight there. There was another thought kicking around in his head but he couldn't say it, not now.

"You're right. It must take balls of fucking steel to want to go to a therapist to remember that hell in your life."

Sven just shook his head, wiping his hand down his face and wondering what the hell to do. He glanced at Jerry and knew it wasn't the bar owner's fault for not realising this guy was a fucking murderer.

"It's not your fault. Don't blame yourself."

The singer putting a hand on Jerry's arm. Some people could sense the bad in others and some couldn't. How was anyone to know? Jake must have intuition on total shitheads.

Jerry finally broke a faint smile. "You might have the muscles but he might have bigger balls than you." Jerry was joking and trying to pull both of them out of the darkness.

"It happened in my bar." Jerry admitted. "It's not that easy." There was more than his guilt but also that it happened in his business.

"Maybe you should put on some regular clothes and check in on Davy and Sam in a bit?" Jerry knew that there was another hurdle, dealing with Davy's emotions. "Last time he had an outburst over the attack it took him a few days to be normal again."

Jerry had seen it once before when Davy had a blow out about some play fighting that happened.

"He does and I love him for it. His prissy princess balls."

Sven shook his head, but he was at least cracking a small smile after the shock and intense emotional overload he'd just experienced a moment ago. The feelings were still raw but Sven knew he'd have to face Davy eventually.

"I'm still dressed up in this fucking He-Man get-up. Yeah, I need to change. I think we'll all need time to heal up after this."

The Swede slapped a hand on Jerry's shoulder, then pulled the taller man in for a hug.

"Thanks for doing this. For me--for Davy. Fuck, just fuck. I'll get changed and then go and find Davy."

Pulling away, Sven sighed and hoped Davy was ok.

Jerry is glad to see Sven smile even if it is brief or faint. It means the other blonde is coming out the other side of being angry and upset.

Jerry gave Sven a warm, bear of a hug and would let him linger if he needed. "Just remember if you get up there an he acts weird it isn't you. It's the memories. Last time he was jumpy for awhile."

It was the best advice he could give the blonde before he went back to Davy. It might be rough for both of them for a bit. There was a lot of trauma to deal with and Sven was running into it for the first time.
